• Had a season-best 45-5.25 at the Yellow Jacket Invite (3rd place) and finished first at the USF Invite with a throw of 45-2.25

• Competed in the shot put at the LSU Alumni Gold meet (4/17)
• Had a season-best 44-7.5 in the shot put and competed in the hammer at the FSU Relays (3/27)
• Threw the hammer (135-3) and the shot put (43-10.75) at the USF Open (3/5) and then again at the Bulls Invitational (3/19)
2009
• Named to the BIG EAST All-Academic Team
Outdoor
• Took silver with a personal-best throw of 148-4 in USF Open (March 6) hammer competition
Indoor
• Posted a personal-best toss measuring 46-1.25 in New Balance Invitational (Feb. 6-7) shot put competition
Dwyer High School
• Undefeated in shot put competition in 2008, setting a personal best 54-10
• Won conference, county, district, regional and state shot put championships as a senior
• Conference, district and regional runner-up in 2007 shot put competition
• Shot put district champion as a sophomore
• Earned four letters in track and field.
