Annesley Cassidy joins USF as the Director of Volleyball Operations. Hired on August 7, 2010 by Head Coach Claire Lessinger, she brings a wealth of experience to the program.
Being a Tampa native, Cassidy has strong ties to the community, which is vital in her role in fundraising for the Bulls. Cassidy is also responsible for day-to-day operations as well as administrative duties.
"We are so fortunate to have Annesley Cassidy as our Director of Volleyball Operations," said Lessinger. "She is not only hard working and invested in the success of this program but well connected in the community. She is passionately committed to helping us market, promote, and even educate the surrounding areas about USF Volleyball and USF Athletics. Her diverse background has strong ties to the volleyball community, the business community, and the children's community. We look very forward to the impact she will have on the success of our program."
Cassidy led Tampa Prep to a state championship and played in the Junior National Tournament for the Tamp Bay Juniors Volleyball Club. A graduate of the University of Florida in 1996, she also played volleyball for the Gators for a year.
In 1998, Cassidy worked for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before teaching at St. John's Episcopal Day School and coaching volleyball from 1999-2001.
