Wright joined USF Athletics in August 2015 and is in his second season as the volleyball team’s Volunteer Assistant Coach.

Prior to joining the Bulls and while in college, Tanner spent time coaching high school volleyball at Quincy Notre Dame High School, as well as the Riverfront Athletic Association under Hall of Famer Caren Kemner. Since returning to Florida in 2012, Tanner has coached club volleyball for OVA, Orlando Gold, Riverfront Bruisers and the St. Pete Volleyball Club.

A member of the Florida WAVE Pro Volleyball League Team since 2012, Tanner also played at the collegiate level from 2008-11, setting records at Quincy University for single-season digs, career digs and career triple-doubles.

Tanner is a Florida native, and attended Dr. Phillips High School in Orlando, Fla. He was a student manager for the Bulls’ volleyball team while in college, and currently attends USF where he is finishing up his MD and MPH degrees in the medical field.
