2022: Returned to court after suffering a season-ending injury in 2021. Played 16 matches (55 sets)...sixth on the team in kills (116)…season-best 15 kills at Tulane (10/7)...five matches with at least 10 kills...season-high six blocks at Houston (10/9) ...recorded 21 total blocks, one assists and 11 digs...season-high three digs vs Houston (11/23).

2021: Started one match before suffering a season-ending injury…totaled four kills one dig and one block in that match vs. Rutgers (8/27).

2020: Started all 14 matches, playing in 58 sets...second on the team in kills (159) and blocks (34)...led the team and ranked 12th in the AAC in hitting percentage (.272)...ranked 17th in the AAC in kills/set (2.74)...season-best 20 kills vs Cincinnati (3/5)...nine matches with at least 10 kills...season-high seven blocks vs. North Florida (1/22)...tallied a pair of solo blocks in four matches...recorded two assists and 20 digs...season-high four digs at ECU (2/19).

2019: Medical redshirt as a true freshman. 

HIGH SCHOOL: Played for Tallahassee Juniors Volleyball Club and competed with Team Florida at the High Performance Championships...her High Performance team finished in first place in 2016 and 2017...tallied over 1,300 kills with a career hitting percentage of .410 playing for coach Angie Strickland at Leon High School...also had 370 total blocks and 68 service aces in four seasons...helped lead Leon to the Class 8A state championship game as a junior, tallying 431 kills and 113 blocks...named the All-Big Bend Player of the Year three consecutive seasons.

PERSONAL: Born Makayla Kathryn Washington on Sept. 13, 2000 in Tallahassee, Fla. ...has an older brother, Tyler, and two sisters, Alexa and Daijah...mother, Latoya, played volleyball at Florida State for four seasons...father, Anthony, ran track at FSU for four years...sister, Daijah, plays volleyball at Faulkner University.
