2012: Joined the USF volleyball team as a middle blocker, appearing in 17 matches ... Recorded 36 kills while hitting .247, and averaged 0.70 blocks per set ... set a career high in hitting percentage against Villanova Oct. 12, hitting .800 (8-0-10), also setting her season high with eight kills ... posted a season-high eight blocks Aug. 26 against UCF.

2011: Completed her University of North Carolina career posting a .279 hitting percentage while contributing 0.82 kills and 0.87 blocks per set for the Tar Heels … Earned All-ACC Scholar Athlete recognition … Graduated from UNC having played in three NCAA tournaments.

2010: Started 33 matches and appeared in 123 sets as a redshirt sophomore … Averaged 1.42 kills and 0.99 blocks per set … Named ACC Player of the Week (Sept. 5-11) after registering 1.70 blocks and 2.30 kills per set in two wins at the LSU Tiger Classic … Posted a career-best .769 hitting percentage and 10 kills in a three-set win over New Mexico State (9/11/10), then followed that performance with a career-high eight blocks in a four-set win over Rice (9/11/10) … Notched in a career-high eight digs in a four-set win at Clemson (10/16/10) … Led UNC with 24 serve aces in 2010, including a career-best three in a four-set win over Ole Miss in the first round of the NCAA tournament.

2009: Played in 25 sets, appearing in 12 matches … Posted 0.56 kills per set and 0.40 blocks per set … Came off the bench to post a .600 hitting percentage and a key block in a five-set win over Oklahoma 9/5/09 • Posted a career-best four kills against Marshall 9/12/09.

2008: Redshirted as a freshman … was a member of the 2008 ACC Champion Tar Heels.

High School: Played four years of volleyball at Buchholz High School as a middle blocker … Helped lead her team to a Florida 6A State Championship in 2007 … Earned All-State first team honors, and was a runner up for the Gatorade Player of the Year in 2007 … Named the Gainesville Sun’s Volleyball Athlete of the Year as a senior … Selected as an ABC TV20 affiliate Scholar Athlete of the year in the North Central Florida Region … Was a Prep Volleyball Magazine Senior Ace Top 100 selection …  Also named the Buchholz High School Scholar Athlete of the Year … Member of the Spanish Honor Society and the A and B Honor Roll … played one year of basketball.

Personal: Born Shelbey Elizabeth Bleke on July 14, 1990 in Baton Rouge, La. … Daughter of Lori and Jeff Bleke … Completed undergraduate degree in Journalism and Mass Communication with focus in Public Relations and minor in Spanish at the University of North Carolina … pursuing a graduate degree in Public Health at USF.
