Cynthia enters her first year at the University of South Florida and comes to us from the University of Tennessee. In her role at USF, Cynthia is responsible for the medical care of the USF Women’s Volleyball program.
While at Tennessee, Cynthia’s primary sport responsibilities included Volleyball, Men’s Golf. and Rowing. Additionally, she assisted with the supervision of Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainers. Prior to her time at Tennessee, Cynthia began her wealth of SEC experience at the University of Florida. She served several roles while at UF, most recently as the Intern Athletic Trainer for the Volleyball, Baseball, Golf, and Tennis programs. Cynthia spent part of her time at UF as the Clinical Concussion Coordinator. In this role, she organized concussion baseline testing for all student-athletes and collaborated with all head athletic trainers and team physicians regarding post-injury concussion management.
Before beginning her wealth of Division 1 experience, Cynthia earned her Master’s from the University of Connecticut while researching exertional heat illness at the Korey Stringer Institute. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from the University of Florida where she graduated Cum Laude.
Cynthia is a BOC Certified Athletic trainer. She holds additional certifications in CPR/AED technique, Sports Manual Therapy, Corrective Exercise, and Orthopaedic Technology. She enjoys outdoor activities like hiking and the beach, exploring new restaurants and spending time with her fiancé.
