TAMPA, FEB. 26, 2015 – USF men's soccer standout Lucas Baldin added to an already impressive resume this season, being named a 2014 NSCAA Scholar All-American earlier this week.
Baldin was named to the first team after posting a 3.77 GPA while majoring in Economics. The Taubate, Brazil native was one of the Bulls' top players in 2014, tying for the team lead in goals (five), assists (nine) and points (19), which were all career highs as well.
Baldin was a MAC Hermann Trophy semifinalist and an NSCAA East All-Region first team selection. The senior midfielder was also named to the American Athletic Conference First Team after helping lead USF to the conference championship game for the second straight season.
Back in January, Baldin was selected by Real Salt Lake in the fourth round of the MLS SuperDraft, becoming the fourth Bull to be drafted this year.
