USF Women Sweep Through Florida Atlantic 6-0

(February 19, 2006) Tampa, Fla. -- The USF women's tennis team played its first match in 11 days and showed no rust in sweeping Florida Atlantic 6-0 this morning at the USF Varsity Tennis Courts. USF (3-1) won the doubles point and all five singles matches without losing a set.

Florida Atlantic (0-4) played with just five singles players allowing USF's top player, Neyssa Etienne, to take the singles competition off with USF moving each of its players up one spot. Etienne did team with Gabriela Duch at number one singles, where the tandem won easily 8-1.
