TAMPA, Fla. - Chris Howard scored 17 points and
Dominique Jones added 14 as South Florida beat St. Francis, N.Y. 86-66 on Saturday.
Howard went 7-of-8 from the field for the Bulls (8-4).
St. Francis struggled offensively throughout the game, shooting just 33 percent from the field and going 6-of-13 from 3-point range. The Terriers (3-9) have lost six straight.
USF, which has won eight of its last nine games, had four players score in double digits, including Adamu Saaka and Aaron Holmes, who both scored 13. Saaka was 5-of-6 from the field and hit two 3-pointers.
The Bulls jumped out to a quick 12-4 lead in the first half, and led by 20 at halftime. South Florida hit nine 3-pointers in the game, while going 58 percent on field-goal shooting.
The Terriers had three players score in double digits. Guard Jamaal Womack had a team-high 17 points, while Ricky Cadell and Robert Hines both had 10.
USFÂ center Kentrell Gransberry had a game-high 14 rebounds, 13 of them defensive.
