TAMPA ? University of South Florida incoming freshman Aubrey Perry was named to the Parade All-American team for the second consecutive year.
“Perry will be an asset to our program and the honors college,” head coach George Kiefer said. “He is very deserving of the Parade All-American recognition and we're very excited to have him in our 2008 roster.”
An Ocoee, Fla., native, Perry is a graduate from the U.S. Under-17 Residency Program in Bradenton, Fla., currently playing with the U-18 U.S. National Team.
While with the U-17 national team, Perry played in 10 games and started in eight. The defender also played 206 minutes in five caps and made two starts.
On April 23, the defender played a full 90 minutes in the U.S. U-18 friendly against St. John's. A day later, Perry came in at halftime in the team's, 2-1, win over the Development Academy Club.
The two-time Parade All-American joins USF as the Bulls look to pick up where they left off after a 14-6-2 NCAA Tournament season. The Bulls finished the 2007 campaign ranked 17 in the NSCAA/adidas poll and 18 in the Soccer News poll.
