TAMPA -- Heavy rains yesterday and overnight left the USF football team with a soggy practice field on Friday morning.

Nowhere was that more evident than on the patch of field from the locker room to the upper field.  The area was described by the coaches as a, "quagmire" and by the strength coaches as a, "challenge." The players stomped and sprinted through the mud and hit the practice field in just uppers this morning.

Coach Leavitt was enthused and happy with his team before practice and decided that they didn't need to be fully suited for the first of two practices on Friday.

Not much else to report from the early session. GoUSFBulls.com will have video interviews after the late practice (3:45 to 5:15 p.m.) and additional notes, in the meantime, here are your daily links.
