PITTSBURGH, Pa. ? The University of South Florida softball team (33-21 overall, 12-10 BIG EAST) fell to the Pittsburgh Panthers (25-24 overall, 9-15 BIG EAST) in game two, 8-0, in five innings to conclude the regular season on Sunday.
The Bulls totaled six hits in five innings of play. Junior Ashley Bullion and Tara Toscano led the team with two hits apiece.
Junior Kristen Gordon (8-5) received the loss, giving up four hits and six runs in 1.1 innings of work. Pittsburgh's Kayla Zinger earned the win throwing all five innings.
Junior JoJo Medina roped a double in the fourth inning for the Bulls only extra base hit of the game.
Despite the loss the Bulls have clinched the five seed in the BIG EAST Conference Tournament. The Bulls will face Syracuse on Thursday, May 7 at 10 a.m.
