BullsVision Insider: Behind the Scenes with Equipment Staff
One of the most underappreciated and unknown support staffs for any college football program is the equipment staff.

You see them on gameday and at practice, but you probably have not idea what purpose they serve.

Hopefully, BullsVision can fill answer some of those question in the exclusive Behind The Scenes feature taped last Tuesday.

Head football equipment manager Jeremy Lees oversees a staff of eight managers that coordinate everything from clohing to helmets to practice equipment and managing the Bulls partnership with Under Armour.

During camp, the equipment staff arrives at 6:30 a.m. and ends their day sometime after the sun has gone down and all the laundry for the day is in full cycle.

We wanted to thank Lees and his complete staff for working with the BullsVision crew and we hope our fans enjoy the inside glimpse.

Here is a roster for the equipment staff that star in the BullsVision feature:

Jeremy Lees - Head Equipment Manager
Jeremy Podbielski - Wide Receivers
Alex Brown - Quarterbacks
Chris Vineyard - Running Backs
Sean Carruthers - Offensive Line
Parker Brown - Defensive Line
Andrew Stern - Linebackers
Nick Schlereth - Defensive Backs
Mark Wilty - First Assisant/Offense

Murphy Appears on First Watch List
Senior defensive back Jerome Murphy joined teammate George Selvie on the Bronko Nagurski Trophy Watch List, which was announced late Tuesday.It is the first national award watch list for Murphy, while it adds to a long list for Selvie.

Selvie was also named to the Rotary Lombardi Trophy watch list on Tuesday. The senior defensive end is on watch lists for the Lombardi, Nagurski, Bednarik, Walter Camp, Lott and Hendricks.

Matt Grothe is on watch lists for the Maxwell, O'Brien, Unitas and Manning awards.

A Look at the Schedule
Coach Leavitt built in the Wednesday night scrimmage in order to give his team a chance to work under the lights. It was an easy decision as the Bulls already have six night games scheduled for 2009, including the first three games of the year.

• USF is expected to workout on Thursday afternoon and in the morning on Friday and Saturday before the players get a break on Sunday.

• Sunday evening is the Welcome Back event for the entire Athletics Department. BullsVision will have cameras out at the event, which will include an athlete talent show and a couple surprise performers. It's a fun setting, as every team and coaching staff attends the official kickoff for the new scholastic and athletic year.
