Photo Name: 1965 First Soccer Game
Like tennis and cross country, men's soccer also hit the ground running when the USF Athletics department formed in the mid-1960's. This picture here, taken at the very first soccer game, shows that the fans were out in full force to witness history. Someone even brought in a sailboat (top right corner) to the game, as there were no bleachers yet at the field. The team was just happy to have a place to play. Eventually, what would become the USF Soccer Stadium was built to give the Bulls a permanent home.
