Pietrzyk Earns Northwestern Mutual Academic Honor

The University of South Florida has teamed up with Northwestern Mutual Teague Financial Group to spotlight the top Bulls in the classroom with the Northwestern Mutual Academic Student-Athlete of the Month award. Pietrzyk, who is majoring in business and marketing, has been a three-time BIG EAST All-Academic Team member while carrying one of the highest GPA's in the baseball program. "Zach is the type of student-athlete we want in our baseball program," said Bulls head coach Lelo Prado. "Over his career, Zach has been a person that we have pointed to as model on and off the field and the in the classroom. We're looking forward to him having a great senior year but no matter where his career path takes him, he is going to be a successful individual." Pietrzyk, a senior from Valrico, Fla., has made 46 career appearance for the Bulls in four seasons. He has a career record of 2-2. Each month, the USF Academic Enrichment Center staff will choose a Bull as the Northwestern Mutual Student-Academic Athlete of the Month. Factors in the selection for this honor will be classroom success, GPA and overall academic status. |
