VERO BEACH, Fla. – The USF football team had a crisp workout in shorts on Friday as they prepared for their first scrimmage of fall camp, which will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Vero Beach Sports Village. Fans are encouraged to come watch as the Bulls will scrimmage for about two hours.

Prior to the workout, the staff held the opening ceremony for the 2011 Bulls Olympics. The Olympics are made up of 10 events, which will take place over the course of the next two days. The Bulls plan to take part in six events on Saturday evening and will finish up on Sunday with the final four events. The team is broken up into 10 groups, while the coaching staff makes up the 11th team. Coach Holtz competes on his own as he tries to match the skills of the members of his program.

With USF's Fan Fest coming up on Saturday, Aug. 20 at Raymond James Stadium (4-6 p.m.), it's important to note how well the Bulls have played in their home stadium. Since it started playing games at Ray Jay, USF has gone 63-18 (.778) at home. Since joining the BIG EAST in 2005, the Bulls have won 71 percent of their home games (25-10).

Great to hear from you Dan and we'll make sure to get on the show once we return from Vero Beach. The guys are doing really well. They're working hard and I've been really impressed with their attitude both at practice and in the meetings.
