STORRS, CONN. - It was a different kind of lineup for the University of South Florida softball team Sunday afternoon, and a different result from Saturday afternoon.

The 18th-ranked Bulls (40-6 overall, 13-1 Big East) pounded out 10 hits and racked up 11 runs, giving junior pitcher Lindsey Richardson more than enough run support in Richardson's first start since returning from injury in the 11-3 win over the University of Connecticut.

USF scored multiple runs in four of the five innings, and Richardson tossed four scoreless innings, allowing four hits and striking out six to improve to 8-0 on the year.

Senior outfielder Janine Richardson led off the game with a double to the fence, setting a tone early. Richardson would score on a squeeze bunt, and the Bulls posted two more in the first on Kourtney Salvarola's two-out double.

USF would plate five more on homers from Richardson and Stephanie Medina, as six different Bulls drove in at least one run. Richardson, Medina, Jessica Mouse and Gina Kafalas each had two hits as the Bulls rolled to a 11-3 win, clinching the series at Connecticut.
