TAMPA - The No. 58 Bulls extended their win streak to three matches with a 6-1 victory over UCF on Wednesday afternoon at the USF Varsity Courts. The Bulls have never lost to the Knights since eighth-year head coach Agustin Moreno took over the program.

USF (4-3) set the tone with an 8-2 doubles victory by Loreto Alonso-Martinez and Katie Vasenina. The Bulls clinched the doubles point when Kayla Rizzolo and Danielle Mills edged Josephine Haraldson and Genevieve Lorbergs, 8-6, in the top spot.

Alonso-Martinez kept things rolling with a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Jenna Doerfler and the Bulls also got straight set victories from Rizzolo and Fanny Fracassi. Danielle Mills regrouped to defeat Haraldson, 6-4, 2-6, 6-2, and Paula Montoya outlasted Sofia Baptista, 6-2, 2-6, 1-0 (10-7).

UCF (7-4) had won two consecutive matches before heading to Tampa.

The Bulls will spend the weekend on the road and start their trip at UNC-Wilmington on Friday at 2 p.m. USF then heads to Richmond, Va., to take on VCU on Sunday at 10 a.m. USF finishes its regular season with 10 consecutive home matches.
