TAMPA – Ken Eriksen is now tied for the most wins among any USF coach in the program's history after his No. 24 Bulls got past DePaul, 4-3, in 13 innings Sunday in Chicago.

Eriksen has 731 career wins and is tied with baseball coach Eddie Cardieri, who finished his USF run with the program record in 2006. The Bulls (37-13) improved to 15-2 in Big East play while staying near the top of the conference standings.

Eriksen certainly had to wait a while to meet Cardieri at the top of the wins list. Kourtney Salvarola's RBI single capped off USF's two-run 13^th inning and the hit wound up making the difference in the game.

Sara Nevins (20-6) gave up a run in the bottom half of the 13^th with the bases loaded before ending her 230-pitch outing with a groundout. The junior left-hander struck out 14 and combined with DePaul starter Kirsten Verdun to throw 441 pitches in the battle that lasted 3 hours, 47 minutes.

Morgan Litchfield's homer got the scoring started in the second inning and Ashli Goff gave USF a 2-0 lead with an RBI single in the fourth. Lee Ann Spivey provided the go-ahead hit in the 13^th when she connected for an RBI double with one out.

USF plays a doubleheader at Seton Hall on Tuesday at 2 p.m. in South Orange, N.J. The Bulls finish up their regular season with a three-game series at home against Syracuse that begins with a doubleheader Saturday, April 27 at 1 p.m.
