TAMPA, APRIL 29, 2014 – USF jumped out to a 5-1 lead but UNF rallied scoring the game's final five runs to defeat the Bulls 6-5 Tuesday night at USF Baseball Stadium.

The Bulls fall to 24-20 on the year with UNF improves to 20-24.

USF got out the gates quickly scoring two runs in the first and third innings.  Austin Lueck began the first with a double to centerfield followed by a single to leftfield by Kyle Teaf to put runners on first and third.  Lawrence Pardo then singled through the left side bringing home Lueck.  Zac Gilcrease knocked in the second run of the frame with a single through the right side.

Teaf was hit by a pitch to start the third and a fielding error on a Pardo groundball to shortstop put the pair on base again.  They both moved into scoring position on a passed ball before scoring on a ground out and RBI single by Andres Leal up the middle putting USF in front 4-0.

UNF scored its first run of the game in the fourth on a Patrick Ervin single to leftfield that plated Drew Weeks.

The Bulls quickly responded in the home half of the inning with two outs.  Lueck singled up the middle before stealing second base.  Teaf then singled to the second baseman in shallow right field.  Lueck came all the way around from second on the play to push the USF advantage to 5-1.

From there, the Ospreys would score five runs over the next three innings to take a lead they wouldn't relinquish.  With two down and runners on second and third, Weeks beat out an infield single allowing Peyton Walsh to score.

In the sixth, Walsh delivered a two-run single to leftfield to bring the visitor's to within one, 5-4.  UNF again did their damage in the seventh with two down, this time receiving a RBI infield single from Garrick Ferguson before Walsh knocked in the eventual game-winning run in the next at-bat.

USF loaded the bases in the eighth inning but was unable to push across a run.  For the game, USF stranded 10 runners on base.

Brandon Lawson started the game on the mound for the Bulls allowing two runs over five innings while striking out two.  Janick Serrallonga was struck with the loss giving up two runs, only one of which was earned, in 1.2 innings of action.

Offensively, USF collected 11 hits on the night as Lueck, Teaf, Pardo, Leal and Hayden Kelley all had two hits apiece.

Evan Incinelli labored through 7.1 innings surrendering all five runs and 11 hits but earned the win improving to 4-5 on the season.  Tyler DuPont racked up his first save of the season throwing the final 1.2 innings.  Weeks and Walsh each had three hits in the ballgame to lead the Ospreys 15 hit attack.

USF returns to the diamond this weekend when it welcomes No. 8 Louisville to USF Baseball Stadium for a three game American Athletic Conference series.  First pitch on Friday, May 2 is set for 7:00 p.m.  The surrounding area around USF Baseball Stadium is expected to be very busy and congested with USF holding commencement ceremonies.  Fans are encouraged to allow extra time for arrival and parking.
