TAMPA, OCT. 10, 2015 – Head coach George Kiefer earned his 150th win as the head coach of the USF men's soccer team and the Bulls remained undefeated at home with a 3-0 win over Cincinnati Saturday night at Corbett Stadium.

With the win, the Bulls improved to 9-3-0 on the season and 4-0-0 in conference play. The Bulls are now 7-0 at home and combined with the women's team are a perfect 13-0 at Corbett.

Eduardo Maceira put the Bulls on top in the 12th minute off a USF corner kick. Liam McNally took the corner and sent the ball in to Maceira who punched the ball into the lower left corner. The goal was Maceira's second of the season and the first goal scored by someone other than Nazeem Bartman in conference play.

Before the end of the half, the Bulls took a 2-0 lead thanks to captain Brendan Hines-Ike. The senior took a free kick from 25 yards out for his second goal of the season.

Melvin Becket got in on the scoring action with his second goal of the season in the 59th minute. On a cross from Marcus Epps, Becket punched in the goal into the lower right corner to make it a 3-0 game.

The Bulls have not allowed a goal in conference play with four of their six shutouts on the season coming against conference opponents. USF leads the conference and is one of just two unbeaten teams left. USF outshot Cincinnati (6-5-2, 1-1-2 AAC) 14-5 for the game and held them to just two shots in the first half.

Junior goalkeeper Spasoje Stefanovic recorded three saves on the night, including a crucial one in the sixth minute on a Cincinnati free kick. Stefanovic now has 38 saves on the year.

USF hits the road for its next conference match against Memphis, Friday, Oct. 16 at 8 p.m. The Bulls will return home for an in-state battle with UCF on Wednesday, Oct. 21, at 7 p.m.

The men's soccer program has been one of the most successful on campus over the years, advancing to seven NCAA tournaments in the last eight seasons. The Bulls return 13 letterwinners and five starters from 2014 on top of bringing in the third-ranked signing class according to College Soccer News. They won the inaugural American Athletic Conference Championship in 2013 and head coach George Kiefer has also led the Bulls to two Elite Eight appearances and four conference/division titles in his 13 seasons as the head man.
