USF Men's Basketball Signs Three

TAMPA, NOV. 13, 2015 – Head coach Orlando Antigua announced the signing of Troy Baxter, Andres Feliz and Malik Fitts to National Letters of Intent on Friday.

Baxter is a 6-8, 190-pound forward from Tallahassee, Fla. He was rated four stars by Rivals, ESPN and 247Sports and is currently playing for Oldsmar Christian in nearby Oldsmar, Fla. Baxter was one of the first players that Antigua targeted after accepting the job in 2014.

“He's really long and athletic and can play multiple positions,” said Antigua. “We are really excited about his future here at USF.”

Feliz is a 6-2, 180-pound guard from the Dominican Republic and currently plays for West Oaks Academy in Orlando. The three-star product has represented his country on many different teams, most recently at the U19 FIBA World Championships this past summer. With USF assistant coach Oliver Antigua on staff, Feliz averaged a tournament-best 18.9 points per game seven games in Greece. He joined the Dominican Republic National Team in July for the Pan-American Games in Toronto, becoming the youngest member of the team at 17 years old, and averaged 5.8 points over five games.

“Andres is a tremendous leader with an incredible competitive spirit,” said Antigua.

Fitts is a 6-5, 215-pound small forward from La Verne, Calif. and is currently playing at Brewster Academy in New Hampshire. He was rated the 55th best small forward in the 2016 class and a three-star prospect according to 247Sports.

“Malik is someone who can play multiple positions and can really score the ball,” said Antigua. “He's a physical guard who has great range.”

The USF men's basketball team returns seven from last season's team including regular starters Ruben Guerrero, Chris Perry, Nehemias Morillo and Bo Zeigler. Orlando Antigua is in his second season as the head coach after spending the previous five season as an assistant to Naismith Hall of Fame coach John Calipari. USF's schedule is comprised of nine teams which had an RPI of 54 or better last season. The Bulls host 19 games, five of those teams made the NCAA Tournament last season.
