ATLANTA (March 28, 2015)—  The USF women's tennis team dropped another close match on the road as the Bulls fell, 4-3, to conference foe Tulane in Atlanta.

Though the Bulls dropped the doubles point, they were able to hold a lead over Tulane until the final singles match.

Three Bulls picked up individual wins on the day to keep the Bulls (3-14) in the match against the Green Wave. Olga Martinez defeated Ipek Birol, 6-3, 6-4, at the No. 2 spot to tie the match at one. Vera Bessonova won in straight sets over Nicky Stracar to give the Bulls their first lead of the match.

Tulane (15-5) tied the match at two after winning on court five. Juliana Cardoso put the Bulls back on top with a straight set victory over Vanessa Nommensen at the No. 4 spot. The freshman won a long first set tiebreaker to take the match, 7-6 (7), 6-2.

The match came down to court three and Jessica Chaves after Tulane evened things back up with a win on court six. Chaves forced a third set, but her fight came up just short as she fell, 6-4, 3-6, 6-3.
