TAMPA, MARCH 6, 2015 – Fresh off a tournament title victory, the No. 17 Bulls extended their winning streak to four matches with a 4-0 win over rival UCF on Friday at the USF Varsity Courts.
USF (8-4) snapped the Knights' three-match winning streak after getting off to a great start in the American Athletic Conference clash. Roberto Cid and Ignacio Gonzalez-Muniz teamed up for a 6-0 win over Mariano Porter and Jose Sangroniz. Sasha Gozun and Vadym Kalyuzhnyy clinched the doubles point with a 6-2 victory over Francesc Aulina and Reece Acree.
Following a weather delay, the Bulls continued to cruise in singles with Gozun's 6-3, 6-1 win over Sangroniz in the second spot. Oliver Pramming kept the momentum on USF's side by defeating Chris Barrus, 6-2, 6-3, leading up to the final completed match of the day. Ignacio Gonzalez-Muniz clinched match point with a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Inaki Espindola in the third spot.
The Bulls finish up the weekend with another home match 1 p.m. Sunday against George Washington. Admission is free at the USF Varsity Courts.
