Moros Announces WoMen's Tennis Fall Slate

TAMPA (Aug. 30, 2016) – After leading the USF women's tennis team to an impressive 17-7 record in her first year with the program, head coach Cristina Moros returns for her second season when the fall slate begins in late September.

Moros returns an entire starting lineup and a veteran squad with three seniors and two juniors. American Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year Ana Roman Dominguez returns for her sophomore season along with Vanja Klaric and Nicole Dzenga.

The fall slate begins Sept. 25 at the Charleston 10K in Charleston S.C. After the week away, the Bulls will return to Tampa to host the annual Bedford Cup, Sept. 30-Oct. 2.

The Bedford Cup began in 2011 and has been hosted by USF, Florida, Florida State and UNF. Sponsored by the Youth Tennis Foundation of Florida, the Bedford Cup is an annual traveling tournament, bringing together every Division I program in Florida.

October is highlighted by the ITA Regionals in Gainesville, Fla. and the FIU Hidden Dual in Miami, Fla. Regionals will take place Oct. 20-24, followed by the dual Oct. 28-30.

The fall season ends at the beginning of November with the Dick Vitale Invitational in Bradenton, Fla. and the Seminole Showdown in Tallahassee, Fla. Both tournaments will take place Nov. 4-6, with the team split between the two locations.
