Corrick Fans 9 in Bulls' Loss to Bryant

TAMPA (Feb. 25, 2018) – Georgina Corrick had an impressive nine-strikeout appearance in USF's 4-1 loss to Bryant on Sunday, just one day after the freshman set her new career high at 10. 

The Sanford, Fla. native and Great Britain National Team pitcher has been a dependable force for the Bulls this season. Just in the USF tournament, Corrick tossed 20 strikeouts in 11.2 innings of work. The rookie faced 19 batters in the tournament finale, sending almost half back to the dugout.

The Bulldogs got an early jump on USF (7-10) with a home run in the second inning, but a Lindsey Devitt (Jacksonville, Fla.) double scored senior Cassidy Boyle (Buchanan, N.Y.) in the bottom of the frame to tie up the game, 1-1. Bryant responded with three runs in the third inning but was held scoreless the rest of the way.
