Bulls Fall to No. 6 Oregon in Doubleheader Sweep

TAMPA (March 1, 2018) – Senior Lauren Evans sent a hard-hit RBI double deep to right center for her third extra-base hit this season and third RBI, sending home USF's run against the No. 6 Ducks on Thursday.

The Bulls (7-12) dropped a doubleheader sweep by Oregon (14-3), falling 6-1 in the first game, and 8-0 (5 inn.) in the second. USF posted one run and six hits against the nation's No. 6 team.  Veterans continue to shine for the Bulls as more than half of the hits Thursday evening came from seniors, and all six came from upperclassmen.

Cassidy Boyle sunk a double deep into the green during USF's second game of the night. She leads the team with a .388 average in 49 at-bats. The American Athletic Conference's most recent player of the week boasts a .673 slugging percentage and 10 RBI this season.

In the first game of the doubleheader, freshman Georgina Corrick (Sanford, Fla.) pitched 4.1 innings and struck out four.
