
Janic Wins Pentathlon at Houston Invitational

HOUSTON, Texas JAN. 25, 2019 – Junior Adriana Janic (Malmo, Sweden) etched her name in the USF record books on Friday at the Houston Invitational when she captured the individual title in the pentathlon with three of the top 10 marks in school history.
Janic collected 3844 points to claim the title and finished with 121 more points than the second-place finisher. In addition, that mark is the second-highest scoring output in indoor school history and currently ranks seventh in the NCAA in the event.
Janic opened the event by turning in a time of 8.58 in the 60-meter hurdles on her way to the eighth-fastest time in school history. She followed by registering a height of 5-08.00 in the high jump for the fifth-highest mark in school history.
