TAMPA, FEB. 24, 2019 – USF's pitching staff held -/RV Texas State scoreless through seven innings, and junior AnaMarie Bruni hit a three-run rocket over the right field fence to give USF its second shutout win this season.

In the bottom of the second inning, senior Lindsey Devitt (Jacksonville, Fla.) and freshman Meghan Sheehan (Forest Hill, Md.) each drew a walk. With two outs, Bruni (Schwenksville, Pa.) hit a three-run shot her first career home run, giving the Bulls (8-7) a 3-0 lead over the Bobcats (7-6).

Sophomore Georgina Corrick (Sanford, Fla.) and seniors Nicole Doyle (Aurora, Ohio) and Cheyenne Eggens (Vienna, Ohio), combined for the Bulls first shutout of the season with Corrick improving to 5-1, and Eggens earning her first save of the year. The trio held the Bobcats to just three hits in the win and combined for five strikeouts and just three walks.
