South Carolina (14-2) jumped ahead in the top of the first inning when a pair of singles put runners on second and third, and a double that batted in one runner before the end of the inning.

USF (10-8) responded in the bottom of the frame when junior AnaMarie Bruni (Schwenksville, Pa.) led off with a walk and stole second. Senior Macy Cook (Uniontown, Ohio) hit a single to left center for her ninth RBI of the season, sending home Bruni to tie up the score, 1-1.

South Carolina tacked on seven more runs in the remaining innings, scattering 12 total hits throughout the game and extended their win streak to 11 straight games.

Ball State
After two-and-a-half quick innings, USF loaded the bases in the bottom of the third. Sophomore Kyndall Williams (Trenton, Fla.) was hit by a pitch, and Bruni hit a bunt single and sped to first. Freshman Meghan Sheehan (Forest Hill, Md.) hit an infield single to the shortstop, to put Bulls on every base. Redshirt sophomore Bethaney Keen and Cook each pushed in a run with a walk and a hit-by-pitch, respectively.

In the bottom of the fifth inning, it was Keen and Cook again involved in the scoring. Keen singled up the middle, and Cook hit a two-run bomb to double the score and record her second multiple-RBI game this season.

In the sixth inning, Williams wore a pitch and advanced on a sacrifice slap by Bruni, she ultimately scored on a bloop single by Sheehan for the Bulls final run of the night.

In the top of the seventh inning, the Cardinals got on the board with a solo shot over the left field fence.

Sophomore Georgina Corrick advanced her record to 7-1 in her seventh straight win. The right-handed pitcher struck out 10, hitting double digits for the second time this season, seventh in her career.
