TAMPA, March 8, 2019 – USF is up to six straight wins after defeating No. 23/20 Wisconsin and UMass, both by a score of 7-1. Wisconsin marks the Bulls' second ranked win this season and victory number 950 for head coach
Ken Eriksen.
USF 7, WISCONSIN 1
Junior
AnaMarie Bruni (Schwenksville, Pa.) hit an infield single with one out in the bottom of the first and stole second to kick off USF's offensive action against the Badgers. She sprinted home two batters later when redshirt sophomore
Bethaney Keen (Bradenton, Fla.) hit a single through the right side.
Freshman
Jaycie Michael (Mt. Dora, Fla.) walked in the second inning, and advanced a base when Sheehan singled up the middle. Senior
Lindsey Devitt (Jacksonville, Fla.) reached on a fielder's choice, and Michael scored on a throwing error when the Badgers tried to turn a double play.
Wisconsin (18-3) got on the board with an RBI single to left center in the top of the third inning for one of just two hits by the Badgers in the matchup. USF was up 2-1 in the third frame and freshman
Tayli Filla (Ft. Myers, Fla.) kick-started four back-to-back singles that would bring her home for a 3-1 lead.
USF added four runs in the sixth inning to seal head coach

th win. The Bulls tallied three hits in the inning, starting with a single by Bruni who made it home when Keen hit a double in her sixth multi-hit game of the season. With a 4-1 lead and two outs, Filla blasted her first career homerun to tack on three more runs in the 7-1 victory.
Sophomore
Georgina Corrick won her 10
th straight game with 6.2 innings against Wisconsin, limiting the Badgers to one hit and one run. The Sanford, Fla., native and American Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week struck out seven and walked two.
USF 7, UMass 1
For the 13
th time this season, USF scored in the first inning. The Bulls got a run on the board when freshman
Megan Pierro (Lutz, Fla.) hit a double down the right field line with two outs, Keen drew a walk and senior
Macy Cook (Uniontown, Ohio) hit a single to register her first of four RBI in the game for a 1-0 lead.
Three straight singles in the third inning loaded the bases with Bulls. Bruni singled through the right side, Pierro hit an infield single to third and Keen sent a ball down the right field line. Bruni made it home on Keen's hit, and Cook struck a sacrifice fly to centerfield to score Pierro and give USF a 3-0 lead.
UMass (8-9) smashed a triple in the top of the fourth and scored on an RBI single for its sole run of the game. Bruni responded in the fifth inning with a triple of her own, and Pierro drew a walk. The pair each registered their second runs of the game when Cook hit deep single up the middle for two more RBI.
USF wouldn't let up, scoring two more runs in the sixth inning. Sophomore
Kyndall Williams (Trenton, Fla) singled up the middle and made it home when Devitt hit the Bulls' second triple of the game that bounce off the wall at left center. Bruni batted in Devitt with a single on the next play.
Senior
Nicole Doyle earned the win when she limited UMass to one run through five innings. She walked just one batter and limited the Minutewomen to four hits. Senior
Cheyenne Eggens (Vienna, Ohio) struck out two batters in two innings of relief to help keep UMass at one run.
