Corrick One-Hits No. 6 Gators in Bulls Narrow 1-0 Loss

GAINESVILLE, Fla., April 10, 2019 – Sophomore Georgina Corrick held No. 6/9 Florida to just one hit in a close 1-0 loss in Gainesville on Wednesday night.

Right-handed pitcher Corrick (Sanford, Fla.) didn't allow a hit through five full innings and held the Gators to one hit and one run in her complete game performance, just her third loss this season.

USF was able to draw two walks in the matchup and redshirt sophomore Bethaney Keen (Bradenton, Fla.) was the Bulls' best chance when she hit a two-out double off the wall at right center in the top of the fourth.

In the bottom of the sixth, Florida loaded the bases with an infield single, a walk and a fielder's choice, and scored on a deep sacrifice fly to center field.

Quotable: Head Coach Ken Eriksen
