TAMPA, JAN. 30, 2020 – The USF track and field team heads north to New England for a pair of meets that begins Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the Crimson Invite hosted by Harvard University. The Bulls close the weekend across town at the Bruce Lehane Scarlet and White Invitational on the campus of Boston University.
The Bulls enter the weekend coming off a strong showing last week at the Rod McCravy Memorial hosted by the University of Kentucky. Adriana Janic (Malmo, Sweden) placed sixth and set a school record in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.29 to surpass the previous record of 8.31. Sophomore Shaneylix Davila (Kissimmee, Fla.) finished in 18th place in the event with a time of 8.68 to record the 10th-fastest indoor time in school history.
Junior sprinter Justin Peter (Tallahassee, Fla.) placed 12th on the men's side of the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.23, which stands as the eighth-best indoor time in school history.
The women's distance medley team of Alexandra Weir (Toronto, Ontario), Shenica Bazile (Naples, Fla.), Alivia Bienz (Fort Pierce, Fla.) and Natalie Walsh (Naperville, Ill.) posted the sixth-fastest indoor time in school history at 12:03.08 en route to a sixth-place finish.
The men's 4x400 meter relay team of Monte Parker (Plantation, Fla.), Yohance Haynes (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.), Derwin Moultrie (Miami) and Peter raced to an 11th-place finish with a time of 3:16.78 to record the fourth-fastest indoor time in school history.
In field events, Taquon Terry (Alachua, Fla.) turned in the fourth-best indoor long jump in school history with a leap of 23-10.00 to surpass his previous best mark of 23-4.00 on his way to placing sixth in the event.
