TAMPA, FEB. 13, 2020 – The USF track and field team takes part in its final indoor meet of the regular season Friday at noon when the Bulls travel to Houston, Texas, to compete at the Howie Ryan Invitational from Yeoman Fieldhouse.
"Houston will serve as our final regular season meet," USF head coach Erik Jenkins said. "We look forward to another opportunity to execute our training in a competitive environment."
Senior Adriana Janic (Malmo, Sweden) highlights a strong group that is expected to compete this week. Janic ranks second in The American in the 60-meter hurdles with a top time of 8.29 seconds and will race in the event at 1:30 p.m. Janic, who also ranks fifth in the league in the high jump with a top height of 1.72 meters (5-7.75), is slated to jump at 6:15 p.m.
Fellow senior Stephanie Lambeth (Frankenmuth, Mich.) owns the fourth-best pole vault in the league and is scheduled to compete Friday at 1 p.m. Lambeth boasts a season-best height of 3.90 meters (12-9.50) that she registered earlier this season at the Crimson Invite.
On the men's side, senior Taquon Terry (Alachua, Fla.) enters the meet ranked third in the conference in the long jump with a top distance of 7.26 meters (23-10.00). Senior Luke Lafferty (Manorville, N.Y.) is seventh in the conference in the event with his top mark of 7.08 meters (23-2.75), which he posted at the Crimson Invite. The two are scheduled to jump on Friday at approximately 2 p.m.
Senior runner Yohance Haynes (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) turned in the third-best time (1:52.49) in The American in the 800 meters earlier this season at the Bruce and Lehane Scarlet and White Invite and is set to compete in the event at 6 p.m.
