IRVING, TEXAS, Nov. 3, 2022 – Four players of the University of South Florida's women's soccer team were named to the 2022 American All-Conference Team, the league announced on Wednesday.
Vivianne Bessette (Montreal, Quebec, Canada) was voted to the All-Conference First Team for the second straight year. Joining Bessette on the first team is sophomore
Chiara Hahn (Lauterbach, Germany), who earned a spot in 2020.
Representing South Florida on the All-Rookie Team are freshmen
Daniella Chung (Boca Raton) and
Signe Markvardsen (Roskilde, Denmark).
Vivianne Bessette | So. | Defender | Montreal, Quebec, Canada
A leader in the backfield, Vivianne has started in all 14 matches she's made an appearance in. She has been a part of five shutouts this season. On offense, she has assisted on two goals. Her one against Texas-San Antonio was the deciding factor in the game. Bessette has shot the ball 18 times, a season-high of four against Kansas.
Chiara Hahn | So. | Midfield | Lauterbach, Germany
Hahn has proven herself to be a force on the pitch, leading the Bulls with five goals so far this season. She has earned a start in all 16 games, playing the full 90 minutes in 10 matches. She set a season-high five shots when the Bulls battled against in-state foe, Florida. She has three matches where she had multiple shots on goal.
Daniella Chung | Fr. | Midfield/Forward | Boca Raton, Fla.
A native from Boca Raton, Chung has started in seven of her 15 appearances. Her first start was against Florida Atlantic where she saw action on the pitch for 69 minutes. She scored her first collegiate goal in the Bulls 1-0 win over Tulsa.
Signe Markvardsen | Fr. | Defender | Roskilde, Denmark
In her first year as a Bull, Markvardsen has made her mark, starting in all 16 matches. In the season opener against FGCU, she earned her first point, dishing out an assist. Her first collegiate goal came against Houston in the conference opener. The Roskilde, Denmark native has taken 16 shots this season with six being on goal.

The Bulls will head to Orlando for the 2022 AAC Tournament as the No. 2 seed. They will face off against the No. 6 SMU Mustangs at 4 p.m. for game one of the semifinals.

The USF women's soccer team has posted ten consecutive seasons of 10-plus wins under head coach Denise Schilte-Brown. The Bulls made their first NCAA tournament appearance in 2010 and returned in 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021. South Florida has five consecutive seasons with a conference championship, earning the tournament title in 2017, 2019 and 2020 as well as the regular-season title in 2018, 2020 and 2021. The program had its first draft pick and second-highest pick in USF Athletics history with Evelyne Viens being taken with the fifth overall pick in the 2020 NWSL Draft by Sky Blue FC, now Gotham FC.
