TAMPA, March 15, 2022 – The University of South Florida softball team continues a 23-game homestand with eight games in a period of five days over the university's spring break. The Bulls host Niagara for a midweek matchup, followed by Ohio State, Purdue, Lehigh, Canisius and St. Thomas for a weekend tournament.

Recapping the Week
The Bulls are coming off a 3-1 showing at last weekend's tournament. The Bulls defeated Army, Stony Brook and UMass before falling to Ohio State in the weekend finale.
Georgina Corrick (Sanford, Fla.) went 3-0, expanding her shutout streak to 81.1 innings. She hasn't allowed an earned run in 87.1 innings.

National Rankings
The Bulls have multiple student-athletes highly ranked in various statistical categories entering the weekend.

After stealing three bases over the weekend,
Alexis Johns (Sarasota) is now the leading base-stealer in Divison I softball with 25 swipes this season. She's tied for 10
th on the program's single-season list and is 13 away from breaking the program record.

Georgina Corrick, meanwhile, continues to be a dominant force in the circle this season. Nationally, she ranks first in innings pitched (111.0), shutouts (9), strikeouts (169) and victories (17). She also ranks second in hits allowed per seven innings (2.21), ERA (0.06) and strikeout to walk ratio (24.14).

Success in the Circle
Led by Corrick, the Bulls pitching staff has been one of the best in the country this season. The corps has the seventh best ERA in the nation at 1.35 and has posted 14 shutouts, which leads the country.
