TAMPA, Fla. (October 11, 2023) – The University of South Florida women's soccer team returns to the friendly confines of Corbett Stadium for an American Athletic Conference matchup with North Texas on Thursday. The Bulls (6-5-1, 2-1-1 AAC) and the Mean Green (8-2-1, 2-1-1 AAC) are scheduled for a 7 p.m. first touch on ESPN+.
After a game-winning performance,
Signe Markvardsen was named to the College Soccer News Women's Team of the Week as well as the American Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week. She led the team with a perfect shot-on-goal percentage of 1.000. She recorded the game-winning goal for the USF victory over UAB on the road in the 80th minute. She also played a key role in the South Florida defense, keeping UAB off the scoreboard. She recorded the second goal of her career. Both goals have come this season.
Thursday's match will be Breast Cancer Awareness, our Athletes 4 Athletes, and International Student Night. All fans in attendance are encouraged to fill out an "I Fight For" card to show support for those battling breast cancer along with pink ribbons. All USF student-athletes are encouraged to show up as part of Athletes 4 Athletes to show up to support their fellow student-athletes. USF World students will be in attendance for International Student Night.
The first 500 fans will receive a USF t-shirt. Concessions will offer $3 pink lemonades as part of the pink theme. Concessions will also offer mini international appetizer boats. As a reminder parking for home matches is free.
Bulls at a Glance
Anna Sutter leads the team with six goals and 12 points. She is tied for 79th in the NCAA with 0.50 goals per match, which is sixth in the conference. Her six goals are tied for 99th in the country.
Georgia Brown is second on the team with 11 points, five goals and one assist.
Gentiana Fetaj is currently tied for 36th in the nation with six assists, which is second in The American. She is tied for 32nd in the nation and is second for the conference with 0.50 assists per match. Fetaj has added a goal and is third on the squad with eight points. Markvardsen,

Olivia Mancini all have one assist.
Leire Herraez Gallach has a team-best 29 saves in 10 matches.
Arden La-Rose has appeared in six matches and has eight saves on the year. As a team, USF is 35th in the country with 7.83 shots on goal per match, which is third in The American. With 1.92 assists per match, the Bulls are tied for 51st in the NCAA and are third in the AAC. South Florida is tied for 75th in the NCAA with 25 goals, 70th in the country with 73 points, and 66th in the nation with 23 assists.

South Florida and North Texas will meet for the first time in history on Thursday.
Scouting the Mean Green
Summer Brown is tied for 39th in the NCAA with 1.55 points per match, which is tied for the top spot in the American. She is tied for 72nd in the country with 17 points and is tied for first in the conference. Her seven goals are tied for 57th in the nation and are tied for second in the conference. Jenna Sheely is second on the squad with 14 points, with six goals and two assists. Bailey Wesco has six goals on the season to go along with one assist. Kat Burnell is fourth in the team with 12 points, with four goals and four assists. Devyn Flannery has four goals and two assists on the year. Peyton Renfro and Rachel Roebuck each have four assists on the season. Maddie Ogden has made 42 saves in 11 matches. She has five shutouts on the year, which is tied for 63rd in the NCAA.

The 2023 season marks the 17th and final for head coach Denise Schilte-Brown at the helm of the Bulls. Schilte-Brown guided South Florida to the program's first-ever NCAA Tournament in 2010 and the Bulls have made eight total postseason appearances (2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021) in the last 13 years. USF posted five consecutive seasons with a conference championship, winning the regular-season title in 2018, 2020, and 2021, while earning the tournament crown in 2017, 2019, and 2020. USF alum and Olympic Gold Medalist, Evelyne Viens, was selected fifth overall in the NWSL Draft by the Sky Blue FC, now Gotham FC. Viens was one of four Pro Bulls to participate in the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup.
