Tampa, Fla (March 21, 2023) – The American Athletic Conference announced Tuesday that Sierra Berry has been named the AAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week. This is her second time being selected for this award this season.

Berry continued her stellar 2023 last week, going 4-0 overall and leading South Florida to two in-conference victories.

Against Cincinnati last Tuesday, Berry took a convincing 6-0 victory at No. 1 doubles to get the Bulls going early. At No. 1 singles, she won a third-set tiebreaker (6-4, 4-6, 10-6) in what ultimately led to a 7-0 victory for USF.

Thursday against No. 62 Wichita State, Berry continued her dominant run and helped extend South Florida's win streak to five matches with a 4-3 victory. She earned a straight-set win at No. 2 singles (6-3, 6-1), and a 7-6 (4) decision at No. 2 doubles.

Berry is now an impressive 8-2 in singles play this season.
