TAMPA (May 16, 2023) – The University of South Florida hosts the Stetson Hatters in the final game of non-conference play as the Bulls begin a four-game homestand that will wrap up the 2023 regular season schedule. South Florida is coming off its longest road swing of the season – a seven-game slate that began with a game at Stetson on May 2nd and included three-game series at Memphis and Wichita State.
USF defeated Stetson on the road earlier this month, 13-6. Bobby Boser and Rafael Betancourt each homered in the game. Betancourt recorded a career-high four RBI in the game. The freshman posted a career-high four hits at Wichita State last Friday with three doubles and a triple in the game.
Boser enters the final week of the regular season with 15 home runs, tied for ninth all-time in program single-season history. His 15 homers are the most by a Bull since Joe Genord (16) in 2018.
Drew Brutcher has 31 career home runs which rank seventh all-time in program history.
Collectively, the Bulls have launched 64 homers this season, their most since 1997 (71).
True freshman Eric Snow has blasted all seven of his home runs in Tampa this season. Snow leads USF with a .354 batting average and is hitting .396 over 25 games since April 1st.
Stetson is 7-12 on the road this season.
