IRVING, Texas (September 25, 2023) – The American Athletic Conference announced its weekly Offensive Player of the Week, Defensive Player of the Week, Goalkeeper of the Week, and Honor Roll on Monday.
Kouri Peace paced the University of South Florida women's soccer team and earned the Offensive Player of the Week after a stellar performance on the week.
Peace led South Florida with three points for the week. She recorded an assist on the first goal against No. 21 Gonzaga and then recorded the game-winning goal. She tallied a career-high three points to propel USF to a 2-1 victory over the Zags. She only tabbed one shot on the week, but it was a precise header. She tied for the second-most points in the conference for the week.
Leire Herraez Gallach picked up an AAC Honor Roll accolade after a great week in goal for the Bulls. She held Gonzaga to just one goal despite the Zags averaging 3.67 goals per match before Sunday's contest. She stopped three shots in the first half. In the second half, she collected four saves, including a save on a free kick just outside the box with only three seconds left on the clock. She finished one save shy of tying her career-best mark of eight saves.
