TAMPA, Fla., Oct. 10, 2024 – South Florida men's soccer (4-2-4) heads to Boca Raton, Fla. to face Florida Atlantic on Friday night. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. and the match will air live on ESPN+.

SETTING THE STAGE
• The Bulls have won three of their last five contests and are looking for their second
straight win in the month of October. Florida Atlantic has won or tied three of their last five games and are looking for their first win since Sept. 13.

SOUTH FLORIDA-FLORIDA ATLANTIC SERIES
Friday night is the 20th all-time meeting between USF and Florida Atlantic and the
series extends back to 1983. The Bulls are looking for their 12th straight win or tie. The last clash was a 2-0 Bulls victory on November 1, 2023.

South Florida successfully shut out Temple , 2-0, in Corbett Stadium in Tampa, Fla. on Saturday Night.
Gunnar Studenhofft (AAC GK of The Week) scored his fourth goal of the season and the
16th of his career.
Jalen Anderson (AAC Weekly Honor Roll) scored his second goal of the year and the 21st of his career. The shutout marked
Felix Schaefer's fifth shutout and third shutout win of the season.

SCOUTING THE OWLS
Florida Atlantic fell on the road at Tulsa, 2-1, last Friday. The Owls would equalize in the 65th minute via Mamadou Diarra's fourth goal of the season and goalkeeper Nacho Alfaro finished with four saves.

South Florida hosts Stetson at Corbett Stadium on Tuesday, Oct. 15. (Originally Scheduled
for Tuesday, Oct. 8, but was moved due to Hurricane Milton). Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. and the match will stream live on ESPN+.

USF Men's Soccer competed in the school's first-ever intercollegiate athletic contest on Sept. 25, 1965, beating Florida Southern 4-3. Since then, the oldest program on campus has built a winning tradition, claiming 14 conference championships and making 22 NCAA Tournament appearances, including 3 trips to the elite eight.

The program also has a strong reputation within the professional game and boasts 30 MLS draft picks. Notable alumni include two-time MLS Golden Boot winner Jeff Cunningham, USA 1994 World Cup star Roy Wegerle, and 2013 MLS Cup winner Dom Dwyer. Men's Soccer has two Alumni and a coach in the USF Athletics Hall of Fame: Fergus Hopper and Jeff Attinella, & Dan Holcomb. Cunningham has also been selected to join the USF Athletics Hall of Fame this Fall.
The Bulls have reached the NCAA Tournament 13 times over the past 22 seasons.
