USF Softball Releases the 2024 Fall Schedule

TAMPA, FLA., October 15, 2024 – The University of South Florida Softball program has announced the 2024 Fall Schedule. All home games will be open to the public, and for the first time, the concession stand will be open for all fall games.
 
The fall schedule will include seven home games in the USF Softball Stadium. Each game will be used as a fundraising event for various causes through the fall with the last game on November 14th as the inaugural annual Alexis Buchman Memorial Game to raise awareness of Glioblastoma Cancer Research. 2024 SB Fall Schedule
 
The Bulls open the fall season on Friday, October 18th, against Central Florida State College at 6:30p. A week later, on October 25th, USF will host cross-town rival the University of Tampa. An added feature that evening will feature one of Tampa Bay's favorite cover bands, the "Actual Bank Robbers" (YouTube) who will play pre-game, in between innings, and for an hour after the game is over. On Sunday, October 27 the Bulls will host defending NJCAA D1 National Champions Indian River State College at 2 p.m.
 
After a mid-week game at Florida Southern (Lakeland, FL) at 7 p.m., the Bulls will return to the USF Stadium on November 1 for a 6:30 p.m. game vs. St. Leo and then will finish the weekend on Sunday, November 3rd with a 2 p.m. versus D1 in state Bethune-Cookman.
 
Taking a week to train and scrimmage the Bulls will face off against three-time NJCAA D1 National Champions, Florida Southwestern State College on November 10th at 1 p.m. The Bulls will then close out their fall schedule with the annual Buchman Memorial game on Thursday night November 14th at 7 p.m.

Also in 2022, Alex Johns won the NFCA Golden Shoe award for leading the nation in stolen bases per game (.983).
