TAMPA (March 19, 2024) – After concluding a seven-game homestand, the University of South Florida Bulls hit the road for one game before returning to Tampa for a four-game homestand later this week. South Florida will play five games in six totals this week beginning with a trip to FGCU on Tuesday, March 19.

The Bulls then host FAMU on Wednesday, March 20 before opening conference play with a three-game weekend series against Memphis starting on Friday, March 22.  will wrap up a seven-game homestand with a three-game weekend series against the UNC Greensboro Spartans on March 15-17.

Drew Brutcher enters the week still leading the NCAA in walks (27) and ranks 11th in the country in OBP (.573). Brutcher ranks second on the team, behind John Montes (.406), with a .387 batting average. He is hitting .400 (14-for-35) with six extra-base hits and 15 walks over his last 10 games.

Brutcher ranks sixth all-time in USF history with 36 homers and with seven more free passes will be tied for 10th in program history for career walks (126).

Jackson Mayo is also off to a hot start this season at the plate, batting .348 with 12 extra-base hits and 20 RBI. Mayo and Eric Snow hit back-to-back homers on Saturday, the third of the season for Mayo and first for Snow.

The Bulls enter the week with 36 stolen bases which are just three away from matching last season's total of 39. Ben Rozenblum, who also hit his first homer of the season on Saturday, is 8-for-10 in stolen bases attempts to lead the team.
