Tampa, Fla. April 24, 2024 – The University of South Florida track and field travels Wednesday to Philadelphia, Pa. for the Penn Relays. The Bulls will have a split squad this weekend, only traveling sprinters and hurdlers to the meet.
THURSDAY
The women will kick off South Florida action in the Penn Relays for the Bulls at 5:25 p.m. in the 400m hurdles final, with
Madeline Abega and
Chakiya Plummer competing.
Afterward, at 5:45 p.m.
Michael Bourne III,
Markel Jones, and
Devontie Archer will compete in the men's 400m hurdles final.
FRIDAY
The exact relay teams are still set to be locked in by the coaching staff but the men's team is traveling

The relay competitions begin with the women's 4x100m Championship of America preliminary relay at 1:20 p.m. and will be followed by the men's at 1:50 p.m.
At 2:55 p.m. the women's 4x200m Championship of America Final relay begins. The men's 4x200m Championship of America Final relay will follow at 3:10 p.m.
The women's 100m hurdle preliminary will occur at 3:35 p.m. and feature both Abega and Plummer.
At 3:55 p.m. the men's 100m preliminary will see Lincoln run for South Florida. Concurrently the men's 110m hurdles preliminary will feature Jones and Bourne III.
The women's 4x400m Championship of America preliminary relay at 4:20 p.m. and will be followed by the men's at 4:35 p.m.
SATURDAY
The final day of Penn Relays will begin with the men's 100m dash final at 12:20.
Then the hurdlers will finish their Penn Relay championship quest, with the women's 100m hurdles at 1:40 p.m. and the men's 110m hurdles at 1:52 p.m.
The women's 4x100m Championship of America Final relay will be at 2:20 p.m. and will be followed by the men's at 2:24 p.m.
The women's 4x400m Championship of America final relay at 3:26 p.m. and will be followed by the men's at 3:33 p.m.
UP NEXT
The regular season is over and after a week off, the Bulls will have all hands on deck for the AAC Outdoor Championship May 10-12 in San Antonio, Texas.

The USF track and field men's team won the 2024 Indoor AAC Championship. Romaine Beckford won the 2023 NCAA Indoor and Outdoor Championships in the men's high jump as a Bull. The team has earned 56 All-America selections and at least one All-American in 10 of the last 12 years, including a record eight athletes claiming 11 honors in 2021. Tampa native Shaniya Benjamin set a program record earning three All-American honors during the 2021 outdoor season, while triple jumper Matthew O'Neal, a 2016 graduate, became USF's first six-time NCAA All-American. Bulls have posted two NCAA runner-up finishes since 2013 - O'Neal (triple jump, 2016) and Courtney Anderson (high jump, 2013). Head coach Erik Jenkins took over the program in 2020 and in the 2021 outdoor season the Bulls posted seven program records and 40 top 10 all-time program marks. USF hosted the 2018 NCAA Track and Field East Preliminary and the 2021 AAC Outdoor Championship at the USF Track and Field Stadium located on the east end of campus.
