USF Men’s Basketball Faces Tulane on Saturday

TAMPA, Fla. (January 10, 2025) – The University of South Florida men's basketball team returns to the road with a trip to New Orleans and a matchup with Tulane on Saturday, January 11. The Bulls (9-6, 2-0) and the Green Wave (8-8, 2-1) are scheduled for a 2 p.m. ET jump on ESPN+.
 
Sharp-Shooting Knox
Kobe Knox is the only player in USF history to have a four-game span where he averaged at least 15.0 points per game, shot 80.0 percent from the field, and shot 75.0 percent from the 3-point range, with a minimum of five 3-point attempts. In the last four games, he has averaged 16.8 points, shooting 83.3 percent from the field and 77.8 percent from 3-point range. He is the only player in the AAC to achieve this feat. Knox joined Chris Lofton of Tennessee (2004) as the only two players to average at least 15.0 points, shoot 80.0 percent from the field, and shoot 75.0 percent from 3-point with a minimum of 15 3-point attempts.

USF's scoring margin of 27.0 points per game is the largest in program history over a four-game span. The Bulls have the sixth-best margin in the NCAA over the last four contests.

The Bulls are shooting 55.6 percent from the field in the last four games. USF is tied for the 24th-best mark in the NCAA this season. It is the best mark in program history for a four-game span. It is the best mark in the AAC this season and fifth best all-time in the American.

The Bulls have an assists-to-turnover ratio of 2.1 in the last four games. It is the best mark in program history in a four-game span. South Florida is tied for the sixth-best ratio in the country in the last four games.

About USF Men's Basketball
The University of South Florida men's basketball, led by interim head coach Ben Fletcher, is a member of the American Athletic Conference. The Bulls enter their 2024-25 campaign, presented by Tampa General Hospital, on the heels of their best season in program history, in which they claimed their first-ever regular season conference title, won a record 25 games, and earned a Top 25 ranking for the first time in program history.
