Bulls add 15 players: 12 through the transfer portal and three high school signees;
Class includes four four-star rated recruits
TAMPA, MAY 13, 2026 – South Florida Head Men's Basketball Coach
Chris Mack and his staff have finalized the Bulls' 15-man roster, assembling one of the top transfer classes in the American Conference and among Group of 6 programs.
The Bulls will welcome 15 new players in Mack's first season at the helm, with no returning players from the 2025-26 squad that went 25-9, reached the NCAA tournament and won an American Conference title (claiming both the regular season and tournament crowns) for the second time in three years.
"We are very excited about the players joining our program and the balance we've built across the roster, from freshmen to veterans with significant collegiate experience," Mack said. "Our goal was to build a team with skill at all five positions, and I think we've done a really good job of that with players who believe in our culture and are excited to continue building the championship standard at South Florida."
The Bulls reloaded with 12 transfer portal additions and three high school signees. The Bulls portal class features four players with a composite rating of .9100 or higher and a four-star rating, according to 247Sports. The Bulls' average transfer rating of 89.00 ranks third among Group of 6 programs, while the overall class ranked among the top 10 nationally among the Group of 6 according to 247Sports.
"Our staff hit the ground running and did a tremendous job identifying and recruiting talented players who also fit the mindset, work ethic and commitment we want in our program," Mack said. "We can't wait to get these guys on campus in June and get to work."
The new 15-man roster features eight guards, six forwards and one center. Three newcomers have already earned collegiate all-conference honors, while two were named their state's high school Gatorade Player of the Year:
Jake Feldhaus (Kentucky) and
Sonny Wilson (Michigan). Four additions were rated as four-star recruits out of high school by 247Sports, including guards
Mike James and
Jayden Johnson and forwards
Zayden High and
Joshua Lewis. James, High and Lewis — a Tampa native and former Blake High School standout — arrive through the transfer portal, while Johnson joins from the high school ranks.
Five players enter at least their fourth season of college basketball, while eight will play in either their first or second collegiate season. Three newcomers arrive as 1,000-point career scorers in college and five have logged 640 points or more.

He played his first two seasons at Le Moyne, where he earned All-Northeast Conference selection. He is a career 38.8 percent shooter from three with 168 made threes.

Moore earned First Team All-NEPSAC AA honors as a combo guard playing at Northfield Mount Herman college prep school in Massachusetts.
In the frontcourt, the Bulls added seven players ranging from 6-7 to 7-0. Center

Diawara, a native of Mali who played four seasons for Club Orange 1 Bassano in Italy before coming to the U.S., saw limited action in his first season at Syracuse.

The Bulls play their home games at the 10,400-seat Yuengling Center on the USF Tampa campus.
