USF Men’s Soccer Midfielder Tyler Richardson Named to TopDrawerSoccer Team of the Week

Richardson is the third Bull named to this honor this season, joining Bozesan and Pietrantonio.

TAMPA, Fla., October 14, 2025 – University of South Florida (7-0-5) men's soccer midfielder Tyler Richardson has been named to the TopDrawerSoccer Team of the Week, following standout performances that powered the Bulls to a pair of close victories over Stetson and Florida International.
 
Richardson shined as a playmaker, recording three assists across the two wins to pace the Bulls' attack. His precision passing and steady midfield presence helped South Florida extend its winning streak and build early-season momentum.
 
The recognition marks the Bulls' third TopDrawerSoccer Team of the Week selection this season as the program continues to earn national attention.

South Florida returns home to Corbett Stadium on Friday, October 17, to face Missouri State with kickoff set for 7 p.m. ET.

ABOUT USF MEN'S SOCCER
USF Men's Soccer competed in the school's first-ever intercollegiate athletic contest on Sept. 25, 1965, beating Florida Southern 4-3. Since then, the oldest program on campus has built a winning tradition, claiming 14 conference championships and making 22 NCAA Tournament appearances, including three trips to the Elite Eight.
 
The program also has a strong reputation within the professional game and boasts 30 MLS draft picks. Notable alumni include two-time MLS Golden Boot winner Jeff Cunningham, USA 1994 World Cup star Roy Wegerle, and 2013 MLS Cup winner Dom Dwyer. Men's Soccer has three Alumni and a coach in the USF Athletics Hall of Fame: Fergus Hopper, Jeff Attinella, Jeff Cunningham & Dan Holcomb.
