South Florida Women’s Golf Set to Compete at White Sands Bahamas NCAA Invitational

TAMPA, Fla. –October 23, 2025- The University of South Florida women's golf team is competing in the White Sands Bahamas NCAA Women's Invitational at the Ocean Club Golf Course at Paradise Island, Bahamas. The Bulls will be joined by seven other teams.

Tiphani Knight, Cherry Marley, Regina Plascencia, Valentina Bosselmann, and Emma Kim will represent the Bulls. Annabel Collis and Holly McLean will be competing individually. 

South Florida will compete against NIU, High Point, Miami, Middle Tennessee State, Ohio, and Prairie View A&M. The first round will start at 8:00AM on October 24th. 

The tournament will be played at Ocean Club Golf Course, a 6,385 yard course, designed by past major champion Tom Weiskopf.

Tampa native AJ Newell, a former LPGA Tour Player and NCAA All-American, enters her second season as head coach of USF women's golf. In her first season, she coached Leonor Medeiros to the American All-Conference Team. Newell coached the Bulls to four top-10 finishes in the 2024-25 season. 

Newell took over leadership of the Bulls' program following a successful three-year stint as assistant coach at the University of Michigan, where she helped guide the Wolverines to three straight NCAA Regional appearances, a 2022 Big Ten title, and a trip to the 2022 NCAA Championship Finals.
