USF Women’s Basketball Heads West for WBCA Challenge

Bulls to battle Fairfield and UCLA in Las Vegas at Michelob Ultra Arena

November 12, 2025

TAMPA, Fla., November 12, 2025 – The University of South Florida women's basketball team (2-0) is set to tip off at the 2025 WBCA Challenge this week, a premier early-season tournament taking place at Michelob Ultra Arena in Las Vegas.

Setting the Stage
The Bulls opened the season 2-0 with wins over Florida International University and Long Island University and now turn their attention to Las Vegas for the 2025 WBCA Challenge. USF will face Fairfield (2-0) on Thursday, Nov. 13, at 6 p.m. ET, before taking on Final Four participant UCLA (3-0) on Saturday, Nov. 15, at 9 p.m. ET. Both opponents earned spots in the 2025 NCAA Tournament, setting up an early-season test for the undefeated Bulls.

The Opponents
Fairfield opened the season 2-0 and enters the WBCA Challenge as the two-time reigning Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference champion, coming off a NCAA Tournament appearance last year.

Two days later, USF will meet UCLA, currently ranked No. 3, which is coming off its first-ever NCAA Final Four appearance and a Big Ten Tournament title, finishing the 2024-25 season with a 34-3 record.

Note-A-Bulls:
Edyn Battle enters the WBCA Challenge fresh off being named the American Conference Player of the Week after averaging 20 points over the opening week. Leading the Bulls with 40 points through two games, she is just eight points away from 1,500 career points as she heads into Las Vegas looking to extend her strong start.

Stefanie Ingram has paced the Bulls' offense with eight assists per game, the best mark in the American Conference through the opening week, as she continues to set the tone heading into the WBCA Challenge.
The WBCA Challenge presents another opportunity for the Bulls to measure themselves against some of the nation's top programs early in the season. With veteran leadership, balanced scoring, and momentum from a 2-0 start, USF looks to carry its early success onto the national stage in Las Vegas.

Up Next
Following the WBCA Challenge, USF returns home to host No. 15 Duke on Wednesday, Nov. 20, at 8 p.m, at the Yuengling Center, continuing its challenging non-conference slate against another Power Four opponent.
