Memphis, Tenn., Nov. 2, 2025 — The University of South Florida (9-2-5, 5-2-1) defeated Memphis (4-8-3, 3-5-0) 4-3 at the Billy J. Murphy Track & Soccer Complex, securing the #3 seed in the American Conference playoffs.
The Bulls started the half offensively, creating early chances and testing the defense.
Jahiem Wickham stood strong in goal, stopping early pressure from Memphis.
Brandon Nyagurungo scored in the 9th minute off an assist from João Belmudes and
Fabio Bozesan to give USF the lead. The half ended tied 1-1.
South Florida came out strong in the second half, reclaiming the lead in the 66th minute as Nyagurungo scored his second goal, assisted by
Tyler Richardson.
Asher Jones extended the lead to 3-1, scoring off an assist from Nyagurungo. After a brief comeback by Memphis that evened the score at 3-3,
Fabio Bozesan scored the game-winning goal in the 89th minute, assisted by
Pedro Faife, securing the 4-3 victory.
The Bulls' 4-3 victory in their final regular-season game, secured USF as the No. 3 seed in the American Conference. The Bulls are set to face the No. 6 seed, Tulsa, in Friday's first-round playoff matchup.

The Bulls will host the #6 seed, Tulsa, in the American Conference First Round on Friday, Nov. 7. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET at Corbett Stadium. USF looks to carry their strong finish from the regular season into postseason play.
